Summary:
There was an issue on `make build_ant_test` that newly generated `issues.exp.test` is empty. When
infer runs with `-- ant`, if there is already built objects in `ant_out`, infer analyzes nothing,
which result in the empty `issues.exp.test`. For example,
```
~/infer/infer/tests/build_systems/ant$ make test
[11:26:49][36924] Testing ant integration...
[ 2s][36924] SUCCESS Testing ant integration
~/infer/infer/tests/build_systems/ant$ touch `which infer`
```
The makefile tries to reanalyze ant targets because `infer` binary has been changed. However, there
is nothing to build/analyze, since `ant_out` still exists as the same.
```
~/infer/infer/tests/build_systems/ant$ make test
[11:26:57][37078] Testing ant integration...
[ 1s][37078] SUCCESS Testing ant integration
Test output (build_systems/ant/issues.exp.test) differs from expected test output build_systems/ant/issues.exp
Run the following command to replace the expected test output with the new output:
make -C build_systems/ant replace
To handle this issue, this cleans `ant_out` before running infer.
Currenlty the cost issue is printed at the first node of a function, which is usually the first
statment of the function. This may give a wrong impression that the cost of the statement is
changed.
This diff re-locate where to print issues with heuristics. Going backward from the first node
lines, it looks up a line satisfying,
1. A line should start with <fname> or should include " <fname>".
2. The <fname> found in 1 should be followed by a space, '<', '(', or end of line.
Enabling starvation by default (D15158597) makes infer double report racerd
issues in these tests. The reason seems to be that both racerd and starvation
use `IssueLog` to record issues, so racerd records its issues there (using side
effects), then starvation adds its own (empty) set of issues and reports
whatever is there again. Since nothing cleans up the IssueLog in the middle,
racerd issues get reported twice: once as racerd issues and the other as
starvation issues.
Let's fix this later, for now just unbreak the test itself.
Add support for GuardedBy: we deviate from the spec as follows:
- No warnings issued for any access within a private method, unless that method is called from a public method and the lock isn't held when the access occurs.
- Warnings are suppressed with the general RacerD mechanism, ie `ThreadSafe(enableChecks=false)`
- GuardedBy warnings override thread-safety violation warnings on the same access, because GuardedBy has a clearer and simpler contract.
Also, some simplifications, cleanups and perf improvements (eg avoid unreportable procs at the top level as opposed to on each of their accesses).
`make clean` would fail calling `xcodebuild` to clean. It also calls `ant
clean`. Instead, do the cleaning ourselves by deleting the appropriate stuff so
that it's faster and more reliable.
Also clean the OCaml build before cleaning the tests as that's what more
important most of the time.
Also don't delete the man pages as part of `make clean` as they are checked in.
Also fix ant's Makefile so that the build points at the right .class files (the
path to the .class files was wrong so `make -C infer/tests/build_systems/ant`
would start `ant` for *each* file instead of once).
Goal of the stack: deprecate the `--analyzer` option in favour of turning
individual features on and off. This option is a mess: some of the options are
now subcommands (compile, capture), others are aliases (infer and checkers),
and they can all be replicated using some straightforward combination of other
options.
This diff: stop using `--analyzer` in tests. It's mostly `checkers` everywhere,
which is already the default. `linters` becomes `--no-capture --linters-only`.
`infer` is supposed to be `checkers` already. `crashcontext` is
`--crashcontext-only`.
It's useful to test that the bucket a given error is classified as doesn't
change over time without notice.
This records the bucket for *all* the tests, even though some never produce a
bucket. This is to be on the safe size instead of risking to forget adding the
bucket information when the test changes, or when copy/pasting from a test that
doesn't have buckets to one that does.
The implementation is pretty crude: it greps the beginning of the qualifier
string for a `[bucket]`.
